Pay Just $25/Fill
with commercial insurance coverageThe official Foundayo Savings Card (by Eli Lilly) works with your commercial insurance — not instead of it — saving you far more than GoodRx or SingleCare.
Denied coverage? You Have Options.
In one survey, nearly half of patients said their health plan didn't approve a GLP-1 the first time it was prescribed for weight loss.[6] But a successful appeal unlocks insurance coverage and the $25/fill savings card.
Over 65% of appeals succeed when patients fight back with proper documentation. Appeals are free and take about 15 minutes to start.
OFFICIAL MANUFACTURER DISCOUNT CARD
Where to Get Your Foundayo Coupon
The official Foundayo manufacturer coupon is available directly from Eli Lilly — the company that makes Foundayo. Unlike third-party discount cards, this official coupon works alongside your insurance to maximize your savings.
Important: The "Foundayo coupon" and "Foundayo Savings Card" are the same thing — Eli Lilly calls it a savings card, but it functions like a manufacturer coupon that reduces your out-of-pocket cost. You'll receive a card with BIN, PCN, Group, and Member ID numbers to present at the pharmacy.
UNDERSTANDING THE PROGRAM
What Is the Foundayo Savings Card?
Bottom Line
If your commercial plan covers Foundayo, you can pay as little as $25 per fill. The savings card is free; you sign up and activate it at foundayo.lilly.com, and you can use it at LillyDirect or another pharmacy. For covered patients, this is the lowest price available.[1]
The Foundayo Savings Card (also called a copay card or manufacturer coupon) is a free program from Eli Lilly that lowers your copay (by up to $100 per 1-month fill) if you have commercial insurance that covers Foundayo; if your plan doesn't cover it, the card prices Foundayo at self-pay rates. Here's what you need to know:
- Not insurance — it works alongside your existing commercial insurance
- Activation required — you must register and activate the card before use
- Annual limits apply — maximum savings of $1,000 per calendar year (2026 terms)
- Expires December 31, 2026 — Lilly hasn't published 2027 terms yet[2]
How Much Can You Save?
The Foundayo coupon (savings card) can reduce your cost to as little as $25 per fill if your commercial insurance covers Foundayo. 2026 terms: Max savings $100/fill (1-month) or $300 (3-month), $1,000/year cap. No coverage? The card (or LillyDirect self-pay) prices Foundayo at $149–$299/month.[1]
| Your Situation | Your Cost | Max Savings (2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Insurance covers Foundayo | As low as $25/fill | $100 (1-mo), $200 (2-mo), $300 (3-mo) · $1,000/year |
| Insurance doesn't cover Foundayo | the same as self-pay pricing ($149–$299/month), up to 10 fills | Card price matches LillyDirect self-pay pricing |
A "month" is defined as 30 days. Maximum 10 fills per calendar year. Card expires December 31, 2026.[1] Note: a 90-day fill counts as one fill, but the card's dollar maximum ($1,000 a year) still limits your total savings.

WHO QUALIFIES (AND WHO DOESN'T)
Savings Card Eligibility
You ARE Eligible If:
Not sure if Foundayo is covered? Check your insurer's coverage first—the savings card only reduces your copay if your plan already covers Foundayo.
- You have commercial (private) drug insurance
- You are a U.S. or Puerto Rico resident
- You are 18 years or older
- You have a valid prescription for an FDA-approved use of Foundayo[1]
You Are NOT Eligible If:
- Medicare (including Part D and Medicare Advantage)
- Medicaid
- Tricare / CHAMPUS
- VA or DoD benefits
- Any state or federal healthcare program
- Your plan uses an alternate funding program that requires you to apply for the card
- You have no insurance (cash-pay patients have other options)
If you're on Medicare or Medicaid, you cannot use this savings card — Lilly's terms exclude all government insurance (federal anti-kickback rules restrict manufacturer copay help in these programs). However, other options exist:
- Medicare patients: The Medicare GLP-1 Bridge covers Foundayo for $50 per monthly fill if you're eligible (with conditions); Medicare patients can pay cash through LillyDirect. (Lilly Cares does not list Foundayo.)
- No insurance: Consider LillyDirect ($149–$299/month for self-pay)
State Restrictions
Savings card benefits may be limited in certain states:
- Massachusetts: Card not valid if an AB-rated generic equivalent is available
- California: Card not valid if an FDA-approved therapeutic equivalent is available
FDA has not approved a generic orforglipron (Drugs@FDA lists only Lilly's own application), so these restrictions shouldn't affect you today.[1]
STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
How to Activate Your Foundayo Coupon
Follow these steps to activate your Foundayo coupon (savings card):
Visit the Official Website
Go to foundayo.lilly.com/coverage-savings to access the savings card enrollment page.
Enter Your Information
You'll need to provide:
- Full name and date of birth
- Address and contact information
- Insurance details (plan name, member ID)
- Prescribing doctor's information
Confirm Eligibility
Answer the eligibility questions honestly — confirming you have commercial insurance (not Medicare, Medicaid, or other government programs). You'll also need to agree to the HIPAA authorization.
Download or Print Your Card
After registration, you'll receive a digital card with your unique ID number, BIN, PCN, and Group numbers. Save this to your phone or print it for the pharmacy.
Activate the Card
Lilly's terms say card activation is required. Follow the activation instructions you get when you sign up, or call the Foundayo Savings Card program at 1-866-923-1953.[1]
Pro Tip
Complete the activation before going to the pharmacy. Some pharmacies won't process an inactive card, which means waiting while they troubleshoot.
WHAT TO SAY & DO
How to Use Your Foundayo Coupon at the Pharmacy
Once your card is activated, here's how to use it successfully at the pharmacy:
What to Bring
- Your Foundayo prescription (electronic or paper)
- Your insurance card (primary)
- Your activated Foundayo Savings Card (with BIN, PCN, Group, and ID visible)
Foundayo Savings Card Numbers
Have these numbers from your activated card ready at the pharmacy
All four numbers are printed on your activated Foundayo Savings Card. If you haven't registered yet, get your card at foundayo.lilly.com/coverage-savings.
What to Tell the Pharmacist
"I have a Foundayo prescription and I'd like to use the manufacturer savings card as a secondary payer after my insurance. Here's my insurance card and my savings card. Please process my insurance first, then apply the savings card to cover my remaining copay."
Key Points for the Pharmacist
- Process insurance first — Your commercial insurance should be billed as the primary payer
- Apply savings card second — The savings card covers your remaining out-of-pocket cost (copay/coinsurance)
- Use the BIN/PCN/Group numbers — These are on your savings card and are required for processing
- Coordination of benefits — The pharmacy system should process this as a "secondary" insurance claim
Can't Get It to Work?
Call the Foundayo Savings Card program at 1-866-923-1953 for help with the card. (The Lilly Answers Center, 1-800-545-5979, is for medical questions.)[1]
TROUBLESHOOTING ISSUES
Common Problems & Solutions
These are the most common issues patients face with the Foundayo Savings Card — and how to fix them:
"The pharmacy says the card isn't working"
Likely causes:
- Card wasn't activated before use
- Pharmacist processed it as a primary (not secondary) payer
- BIN/PCN/Group numbers entered incorrectly
Solution: Confirm the card is activated. Ask the pharmacist to re-run it as a secondary claim using coordination of benefits. If still not working, call the Foundayo Savings Card line at 1-866-923-1953 while at the pharmacy.
Charged the regular price on a 14.5 mg or 17.2 mg refill you made within 45 days? Lilly's terms let you submit a post-transaction reimbursement claim at eversana-ptr.virtualrx.co (deadline: postmarked by March 31, 2027). You'll need your activated card info and pharmacy receipt.
"I'm still being charged more than $25"
Likely causes:
- Your insurance doesn't cover Foundayo (the not-covered card price is the same as self-pay pricing ($149–$299/month), up to 10 fills, the same as LillyDirect self-pay)
- You've exceeded the monthly savings cap ($100 per 1-month fill in 2026)
- You've exceeded the annual savings cap ($1,000/year in 2026)
Solution: Check your insurance coverage status. If your copay is higher than the savings cap ($100 in 2026), you'll pay the difference. If you've hit annual limits, compare LillyDirect self-pay ($149–$299/month); Lilly Cares doesn't list Foundayo (see our patient assistance guide).
"Prior authorization required"
What's happening: Your insurance requires pre-approval before covering Foundayo. The savings card can't help until your insurance approves the medication.
Solution: Contact your prescriber to submit the prior authorization paperwork. How long the plan takes varies, so ask the office to tell you when it's approved. Once approved, return to the pharmacy with your savings card. See our prior authorization guide for PA tips.
"Card rejected — government insurance detected"
What's happening: The system detected that you have Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, or another government program. These patients are not eligible for the savings card.
Solution: If you genuinely have only commercial insurance, call the Foundayo Savings Card program to resolve the error. If you do have government insurance, see our patient assistance guide: on Medicare Part D, the GLP-1 Bridge covers Foundayo if you qualify, and Lilly Cares doesn't list Foundayo.
"The pharmacy has never heard of this card"
What's happening: Some smaller or independent pharmacies may be unfamiliar with manufacturer copay cards.
Solution: Explain that it's a manufacturer copay assistance card (not a discount coupon). Provide the BIN, PCN, Group, and ID numbers. The pharmacy should process it like a secondary insurance. If they refuse or can't figure it out, try a larger chain pharmacy (such as CVS or Walgreens) that regularly handles these.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT OPTION
Savings Card vs. Other Discount Options
The Foundayo Savings Card isn't the only way to save. Here's how it compares to other options:
| Option | Best For | Potential Savings | Key Limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Foundayo Savings Card | Commercial insurance (covered) | As low as $25/fill | No government insurance |
| LillyDirect | No insurance / not covered | $149–$299/month (self-pay) | Cash only, bypasses insurance |
| Patient Assistance (PAP) | Low-income patients | Not available for Foundayo | Zepbound, Mounjaro and Foundayo are not on Lilly Cares’ medication list |
| GoodRx / SingleCare | Cash-pay patients | Varies by pharmacy; check the current price | Can't combine with insurance |
Which Should You Use?
If your insurance covers Foundayo
Use the Foundayo Savings Card. You may pay as little as $25 per fill, with Lilly covering up to $100 per 1-month fill of your copay (2026 terms). If your copay is high, compare what you'd pay after the card with the LillyDirect self-pay price and use whichever is lower.
If your insurance doesn't cover Foundayo
Consider LillyDirect or the not-covered card. Both price Foundayo at $149–$299/month depending on dose. You can also appeal the coverage denial to unlock the $25/fill savings card.
If you have Medicare or Medicaid
Medicare Part D: check the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge. The savings card's terms exclude government insurance, but the Bridge covers Foundayo for $50 per monthly fill if you're eligible (with conditions). Zepbound, Mounjaro and Foundayo are not on Lilly Cares’ medication list. Medicaid coverage depends on your state. See our patient assistance guide.

SAVINGS CARD & MEDICARE CHANGES
What's Coming in 2026
2026 Will Be a Big Year for Foundayo Affordability
Major changes have arrived: Medicare coverage through the GLP-1 Bridge, new direct-purchase options, and the 2026 savings card. Here's what we know — and what's still TBD.
Confirmed for 2026
Medicare Coverage: The Medicare GLP-1 Bridge
Medicare and weight-loss GLP-1s: the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge
Through the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge (July 1, 2026 – December 31, 2027), a temporary CMS demonstration that runs outside the Part D benefit, people with eligible Part D coverage can get Wegovy, Foundayo or the Zepbound KwikPen for weight loss for $50 a month, if they meet CMS’s eligibility criteria and their prescriber gets prior authorization.

Medicare Pricing for Foundayo
Medicare pricing for GLP-1 obesity drugs, including Foundayo, comes from the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge:[5]
- Medicare price for patients: $50 per monthly fill through the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge (eligible Part D enrollees)
- Bridge net program price (from participating manufacturers): $245 per monthly supply (the net program price, not what you pay)
- Foundayo status: Covered by the Bridge since July 1, 2026
Note: TrumpRx.gov is a separate, self-pay listing site: it lists Lilly's own self-pay prices, and orders go through LillyDirect ($149–$299/month).
2026 Savings Card — Now Available
2026 Savings Card Terms
Foundayo was FDA-approved April 1, 2026; its 2026 savings card terms expire December 31, 2026:
- With coverage: as little as $25 (up to $100 per fill, $1,000 a year, 10 fills)
- Without coverage: the same as self-pay pricing ($149–$299/month), up to 10 fills; LillyDirect self-pay is the same price
Tip: The $25 price needs a plan that covers Foundayo. If yours doesn't, the card and LillyDirect self-pay ($149–$299/month) cost the same.
Medicaid Coverage Expansion
CMS's BALANCE model has a Medicaid track: Voluntary for states, which can join between May 2026 and January 1, 2027; no participating state has been confirmed. Medicaid coverage of Foundayo depends on your state.[4]
What Should You Do Now?

COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT THE SAVINGS CARD
Frequently Asked Questions
The official Foundayo coupon is available free at foundayo.lilly.com/coverage-savings. This manufacturer coupon (also called the Foundayo Savings Card) can reduce your cost to as little as $25 per fill if you have commercial insurance that covers Foundayo. Unlike third-party discount cards (GoodRx, SingleCare), the official Foundayo coupon works with your insurance, not instead of it — providing much larger savings for brand-name medications.
No, the Foundayo coupon doesn't use a promo code. Instead, you'll receive a physical or digital card with BIN/PCN/Group/Member ID numbers to present at the pharmacy. There's no code to enter online — the savings are applied at checkout when your pharmacist processes the card as secondary insurance. Get your card free at foundayo.lilly.com/coverage-savings.
If your commercial insurance covers Foundayo, you can pay as little as $25 per fill (1, 2, or 3 months). If your insurance doesn't cover Foundayo, the card's price is the same as self-pay pricing ($149–$299/month), up to 10 fills—the same as LillyDirect self-pay.
No. The card's terms exclude Medicare (including Part D and Medicare Advantage), Medicaid, TRICARE, VA, DoD and other government programs, in line with federal anti-kickback rules. If you have Medicare Part D, the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge covers Foundayo for $50 per monthly fill if you're eligible (with conditions), and Medicare patients can also pay cash through LillyDirect. Lilly Cares does not list Foundayo; see our patient assistance guide for other options.
The current savings card program expires December 31, 2026. Lilly hasn't published 2027 terms yet. Visit foundayo.lilly.com for the latest information.
Common issues include: (1) Card not activated, (2) Pharmacy processing it as primary instead of secondary payer, (3) Prior authorization not yet approved by your insurance, (4) Government insurance detected in the system. Call the Foundayo Savings Card program at 1-866-923-1953 for help.
The savings card has monthly and annual limits. 2026 terms (with coverage): $100/fill (1-month), $200 (2-month), or $300 (3-month). Annual cap: $1,000. Maximum 10 fills per year. If your copay exceeds the cap, you pay the difference. No coverage? The card price is the same as self-pay pricing ($149–$299/month), up to 10 fills, the same as LillyDirect self-pay.
Not exactly. Manufacturer copay cards (like the Foundayo Savings Card) work alongside your insurance — they cover your out-of-pocket costs after insurance pays. Generic discount coupons (like GoodRx) are cash-price discounts that replace insurance and typically save less for brand-name drugs. For Foundayo, the savings card provides significantly better savings.
Yes, per Lilly. Lilly lists Foundayo as HSA/FSA eligible, but eligibility may vary by plan, so check with your benefits administrator. You can use HSA/FSA money for what you still owe after the card is applied; the card's terms don't allow claiming the card's savings themselves from an HSA or FSA.
It can, mainly through your plan. 2026 terms: the card's maximum scales with the supply ($300 for a 3-month fill, the same as $100 a month), and the $1,000 annual cap still applies. Some insurers have lower copays for 90-day prescriptions through mail-order pharmacies. Ask your doctor about a 90-day prescription if you're stable on your dose.
Caution: Compounded or "research" orforglipron is not FDA-approved. FDA says unapproved GLP-1 products don't undergo its review for safety, effectiveness and quality, and that compounded drugs should only be used when an FDA-approved drug can't meet a patient's medical needs. LillyDirect offers authentic Foundayo at $149–$299/month — a legitimate, FDA-approved option.
Yes, at self-pay prices. If you have commercial insurance that doesn't cover Foundayo, the card's price is the same as self-pay pricing ($149–$299/month), up to 10 fills (Lilly's not-covered terms). That's the same as LillyDirect self-pay, which needs no insurance. The $25 price requires a plan that covers Foundayo.
In general, yes. Lilly applies savings automatically at LillyDirect, and its coverage page also lists an "other pharmacy" option for the card; retail pharmacies such as CVS, Walgreens, Walmart and independents can process it. Some mail-order pharmacies also accept it. If a pharmacy claims they don't accept it, ask them to run it as a secondary payer using the BIN/PCN/Group numbers.
The 2026 savings card is now available. Visit foundayo.lilly.com to enroll. Lilly hasn't published 2027 terms yet, and its terms say you may need a new card when terms change. Card valid through December 31, 2026.
This happens when your insurance copay exceeds the card's monthly savings cap (2026 terms: $100 for a 1-month supply). For example, if your copay is $150, the card covers $100, leaving you to pay $50. Solutions: (1) Ask whether your plan charges less for a 90-day supply (the card's cap is $300 for 3 months, the same per month), (2) Check if your insurer has a preferred pharmacy with lower copays, (3) Appeal for a tier exception to move Foundayo to a lower copay tier.
