🔍 Looking for a Wegovy Coupon?
The official Wegovy coupon (called the Wegovy Savings Card by Novo Nordisk) can reduce your cost to as little as $25 per fill. It works with your commercial insurance — not instead of it — providing far greater savings than third-party discount coupons like GoodRx or SingleCare.
Eligible: Commercial/private insurance
Not eligible: Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, VA, or uninsured — see other ways to save →

Insurers Hope You'll Give Up — Don't.
The $25 savings card only works if your insurance already covers Wegovy. The problem: nearly half of GLP-1 prescriptions are denied on the first try — even for qualifying patients.[9] Insurers use this as a cost-control tactic, hoping you'll give up or pay cash instead.
Here's what they don't tell you: over 65% of appeals succeed when patients fight back.[10] Yet less than 1% of denied patients ever appeal. If you've been denied, don't pay $349/month out of pocket — appeals are free to file and take about 15 minutes to start.
OFFICIAL MANUFACTURER DISCOUNT CARD
Where to Get Your Wegovy Coupon
The official Wegovy manufacturer coupon is available directly from Novo Nordisk — the company that makes Wegovy. Unlike third-party discount cards, this official coupon works alongside your insurance to maximize your savings.
Important: The "Wegovy coupon" and "Wegovy Savings Card" are the same thing — Novo Nordisk calls it a savings card, but it functions like a manufacturer coupon that reduces your out-of-pocket cost. You'll receive a card with BIN, PCN, Group, and Member ID numbers to present at the pharmacy.
UNDERSTANDING THE PROGRAM
What Is the Wegovy Savings Card?
Key Takeaway
The Wegovy Savings Card is a manufacturer discount program from Novo Nordisk that can reduce your copay to as low as $25 per fill — if you have commercial insurance that covers Wegovy.[1]
The Wegovy Savings Card (also called a copay card, manufacturer coupon, or Wegovy prescription coupon) helps eligible patients afford their Wegovy prescription by covering a portion of out-of-pocket costs. Here's what you need to know:
- Not insurance — it works alongside your existing commercial insurance
- Activation required — you must register and activate the card before use
- Monthly limits apply — maximum savings of $100 per 1-month fill
- Program effective January 2, 2026 — terms updated annually[2]
How Much Can You Save?
The Wegovy coupon (savings card) can reduce your cost to as little as $25 per fill if your commercial insurance covers Wegovy. Monthly savings are capped at $100 per 1-month fill ($200 for 2-month, $300 for 3-month). Self-pay patients can access NovoCare Pharmacy pricing at $199–$349/month.
| Your Situation | Your Cost | Max Monthly Savings |
|---|---|---|
| Insurance covers Wegovy | As low as $25/fill | $100 (1-month), $200 (2-month), $300 (3-month) |
| No insurance / not covered | $199–$349/month (NovoCare) | Self-pay program (bypasses insurance) |
A "month" is defined as 28 days and 1 box (4 pens). Injectable doses: 0.25mg, 0.5mg, 1mg, 1.7mg, 2.4mg.[1]
WHO QUALIFIES (AND WHO DOESN'T)
Savings Card Eligibility
You ARE Eligible If:
Not sure if Wegovy is covered? Check your insurer's coverage first—the savings card only reduces your copay if your plan already covers Wegovy.
- You have commercial (private) drug insurance
- You are a U.S. resident
- You are 18 years or older
- You have a valid prescription for an FDA-approved use of Wegovy
You Are NOT Eligible If:
- Medicare (including Part D and Medicare Advantage)
- Medicaid
- Tricare / CHAMPUS
- VA or DoD benefits
- Any state or federal healthcare program
- Employer Group Waiver Plans (EGWP)
- You have no insurance (self-pay patients have other options)
If you're on Medicare or Medicaid, you cannot use this savings card — it's prohibited under federal anti-kickback laws. However, other options exist:
- Medicare patients: Ask whether your Part D plan may cover Wegovy for cardiovascular risk reduction in adults with established cardiovascular disease and either obesity or overweight (subject to its formulary, prior authorization and exceptions process; FDA approval: injection March 8, 2024 (Wegovy injection), tablets December 22, 2025 (Wegovy tablets)), or check the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge, which runs outside Part D and covers Wegovy for weight loss for $50 per monthly fill if you meet CMS’s criteria and your prescriber gets prior authorization. (Wegovy is not on Novo Nordisk’s Patient Assistance Program list; see our patient assistance guide.)
- No insurance: Consider NovoCare Pharmacy ($199/month for the first two fills (0.25 mg and 0.5 mg), through December 31, 2026; then $349/month ($399 for Wegovy HD 7.2 mg))
State Restrictions
Savings card benefits may be limited in certain states:
- Massachusetts: Card not valid if an AB-rated generic equivalent is available
- California: Card not valid if an FDA-approved therapeutic equivalent is available
Currently, there is no generic equivalent for Wegovy (semaglutide), so these restrictions don't apply.[3]

Visit the Official Website
Go to novocare.com/wegovy/savings-card.html to access the savings card enrollment page.
Enter Your Information
You'll need to provide:
- Full name and date of birth
- Address and contact information
- Insurance details (plan name, member ID)
- Prescribing doctor's information (Prescriber ID)
Confirm Eligibility
Answer the eligibility questions honestly — confirming you have commercial insurance (not Medicare, Medicaid, or other government programs). You'll also need to agree to the terms and conditions.
Download or Print Your Card
After registration, you'll receive a digital card with your unique Member ID, Group number, BIN, and PCN. Save this to your phone or print it for the pharmacy.
Present at Pharmacy
Your card is typically activated immediately after enrollment. Present it at the pharmacy alongside your insurance card. If you have issues, call the Wegovy Savings Offer line at 1-888-793-1218.[4]
Pro Tip
Complete the enrollment before going to the pharmacy. Have your insurance card and savings card ready — the pharmacist will need both to process your copay correctly.
WHAT TO SAY & DO
How to Use Your Wegovy Coupon at the Pharmacy
Once your card is ready, here's how to use it successfully at the pharmacy:
What to Bring
- Your Wegovy prescription (electronic or paper)
- Your insurance card (primary)
- Your Wegovy Savings Card (with BIN, PCN, Group, and ID visible)
Wegovy Savings Card Numbers
Standard numbers for all cardholders — have these ready at the pharmacy
Your Group number (starts with EC/AC) and 11-digit Member ID are on your personalized savings card. BIN and PCN are the same for all cardholders.
What to Tell the Pharmacist
"I have a Wegovy prescription and I'd like to use the manufacturer savings card as a secondary payer after my insurance. Here's my insurance card and my savings card. Please process my insurance first, then apply the savings card to cover my remaining copay."
Key Points for the Pharmacist
- Process insurance first — Your commercial insurance should be billed as the primary payer
- Apply savings card second — The savings card covers your remaining out-of-pocket cost (copay/coinsurance)
- Use the BIN/PCN/Group numbers — These are on your savings card and are required for processing
- Coordination of benefits — The pharmacy system should process this as a "secondary" insurance claim
Can't Get It to Work?
Call the Wegovy Savings Offer line at 1-888-793-1218. They can help troubleshoot with you and the pharmacy in real time.[2]
TROUBLESHOOTING ISSUES
Common Problems & Solutions
These are the most common issues patients face with the Wegovy Savings Card — and how to fix them:
"The pharmacy says the card isn't working"
Likely causes:
- Card not enrolled/activated before use
- Pharmacist processed it as a primary (not secondary) payer
- BIN/PCN/Group numbers entered incorrectly
Solution: Confirm you completed enrollment at novocare.com. Ask the pharmacist to re-run it as a secondary claim using coordination of benefits. If still not working, call the Wegovy Savings Offer line at 1-888-793-1218 while at the pharmacy.
"I'm still being charged more than $25"
Likely causes:
- Your insurance doesn't cover Wegovy (savings card only works with covered prescriptions)
- Your copay exceeds the monthly savings cap ($100 per 1-month fill)
Solution: Check your insurance coverage status. If your copay is higher than $100, you'll pay the difference (e.g., $150 copay - $100 savings = $50 you pay). If insurance doesn't cover Wegovy, consider NovoCare Pharmacy at $199–$349/month.
"Prior authorization required"
What's happening: Your insurance requires pre-approval before covering Wegovy. The savings card can't help until your insurance approves the medication.
Solution: Contact your prescriber to submit the prior authorization paperwork. Most employer and ACA plans must decide within 15 days (72 hours if urgent). Once approved, return to the pharmacy with your savings card. See our prior authorization guide for PA tips.
"Card rejected — government insurance detected"
What's happening: The system detected that you have Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, or another government program. These patients are not eligible for the savings card.
Solution: If you genuinely have only commercial insurance, call NovoCare support to resolve the error. If you do have Medicare Part D, see whether the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge applies ($50 per monthly fill for weight loss, if you qualify). If you have government insurance, ask NovoCare whether you can use self-pay pricing. Note that Wegovy is not on Novo Nordisk’s Patient Assistance Program list (see our patient assistance guide).
"The pharmacy has never heard of this card"
What's happening: Some smaller or independent pharmacies may be unfamiliar with manufacturer copay cards.
Solution: Explain that it's a manufacturer copay assistance card (not a discount coupon). Provide the BIN (019158), PCN (CNRX), Group, and Member ID numbers. The pharmacy should process it like a secondary insurance. If they refuse or can't figure it out, try a larger chain pharmacy (CVS, Walgreens, Walmart) that regularly handles these.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT OPTION
Savings Card vs. Other Discount Options
The Wegovy Savings Card isn't the only way to save. Here's how it compares to other options:
| Option | Best For | Potential Savings | Key Limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wegovy Savings Card | Commercial insurance (covered) | As low as $25/fill | No government insurance |
| NovoCare Pharmacy | No insurance / not covered | $199 starter doses*, $349/month | *0.25/0.5mg only, first 2 fills (limited-time offer) |
| Patient Assistance (PAP) | Other Novo medicines (not Wegovy) | Not available for Wegovy | Wegovy is not on the PAP list |
| GoodRx / SingleCare | Cash-pay patients | 10-15% off cash price | Can't combine with insurance |
| Oral Wegovy (Pill) | Alternative to injections | $149–$299/month by dose (NovoCare) | New option, Dec 2025 FDA approval |
Which Should You Use?
If your insurance covers Wegovy
Use the Wegovy Savings Card. This is your best option — you'll pay as little as $25 per fill, with Novo Nordisk covering up to $100 per 1-month fill of your copay. No other option beats this for covered patients.
If your insurance doesn't cover Wegovy
Consider NovoCare Pharmacy. Self-pay pricing is $199/month for the first two fills (0.25 mg and 0.5 mg), through December 31, 2026. After that or for maintenance doses, it's $349/month ($399 for Wegovy HD 7.2 mg). This is much cheaper than the $1,349/month list price. You can also appeal the coverage denial — over 65% of appeals succeed with proper documentation.
If you have Medicare or Medicaid
Check the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge. The savings card is not available to you (federal law), and Wegovy is not on Novo Nordisk’s Patient Assistance Program list (see our patient assistance guide). If you have Medicare Part D, the Bridge covers Wegovy for weight loss for $50 per monthly fill (July 1, 2026 – December 31, 2027) if you meet CMS’s criteria and your prescriber gets prior authorization. Wegovy may also be covered under Part D for cardiovascular risk reduction in adults with established cardiovascular disease and either obesity or overweight, subject to the plan’s formulary, prior authorization and exceptions process. Medicaid coverage depends on your state.

SAVINGS CARD & MEDICARE CHANGES
What's Coming in 2026
2026 Will Be a Big Year for Wegovy Affordability
2026 brought major changes: the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge, new direct-purchase options, and oral Wegovy availability. Here's what we know — and what's still TBD.
Confirmed for 2026
Oral Wegovy Now Available (Dec 2025)
The FDA approved oral Wegovy (semaglutide pill) on December 22, 2025 — the first oral GLP-1 approved for weight loss.[5]
- NovoCare price: $149–$299/month by dose
- Doses: 1.5mg, 4mg, 9mg, 25mg tablets (once daily)
- Advantage: No injections required
What this means: If you've been hesitant about injections, the oral form may be a good alternative. Coverage and savings card eligibility may vary — check with your insurer.
Medicare GLP-1 Bridge (Live Since July 1, 2026)
In November 2025, the Trump administration announced a deal with Novo Nordisk to expand Medicare coverage for GLP-1 obesity drugs — including Wegovy — for the first time. That coverage is now the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge (July 1, 2026 – December 31, 2027).[6]
Medicare and weight-loss GLP-1s: the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge
Through the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge (July 1, 2026 – December 31, 2027), a temporary CMS demonstration that runs outside the Part D benefit, people with eligible Part D coverage can get Wegovy, Foundayo or the Zepbound KwikPen for weight loss for $50 a month, if they meet CMS’s eligibility criteria and their prescriber gets prior authorization.
- Who qualifies: Age 18+ and BMI ≥35; or BMI ≥30 with HFpEF, uncontrolled high blood pressure or CKD stage 3a+; or BMI ≥27 with prediabetes, a prior heart attack or stroke, or symptomatic PAD.
- Who doesn’t: Not eligible if you have type 2 diabetes, moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea, or noncirrhotic MASH with moderate-to-advanced liver fibrosis (F2–F3), or if your Part D plan paid for a GLP-1 for you at any time in 2026.
- Cost: $50 per monthly fill. Does not count toward the Part D deductible or out-of-pocket cap. Extra Help (LIS) does not lower it. Not eligible for the Medicare Prescription Payment Plan. Coupons and discount programs can’t be applied.
- No opt-in needed: Part D plans and pharmacies don’t opt in, and you don’t enroll separately; your prescriber must get prior authorization.
- If it’s denied: No appeals process for a Bridge prior-authorization denial: your prescriber can resubmit with more information (Part D appeal rights for Part D coverage decisions still apply).

What this means: If you're on Medicare and have been paying out-of-pocket for Wegovy, check whether you qualify for the Bridge. Note: Wegovy may also be covered under Part D for cardiovascular risk reduction in adults with established cardiovascular disease and either obesity or overweight, subject to the plan’s formulary, prior authorization and exceptions process (FDA approval for CV risk reduction: injection March 8, 2024 (Wegovy injection); tablets December 22, 2025 (Wegovy tablets)).
TrumpRx Direct-Purchase Platform (Live since February 2026)
TrumpRx.gov launched on February 5, 2026. TrumpRx lists the manufacturers’ own self-pay prices (not a separate, cheaper price):[7]
- Price: NovoCare self-pay pricing ($349/month ($399 for Wegovy HD 7.2 mg) for the injection; list price $1,349/month)
- Who can use it: If you have government insurance, ask NovoCare whether you can use self-pay pricing
- Medicare patients: The Medicare GLP-1 Bridge costs $50 per monthly fill if you qualify
Still Unknown (Watch for Updates)
Savings Card Term Updates
The current savings card terms became effective January 2, 2026. Novo Nordisk updates terms periodically. Based on past patterns:
- Current: $25 copay, $100 per 1-month fill max savings
- Possible: Terms may change due to new Medicare/TrumpRx options
- Unknown: Whether limits will increase or decrease
We'll update this section as Novo Nordisk announces any changes.
Medicaid Coverage Expansion
The BALANCE model’s Medicaid track: Voluntary for states, which can join between May 2026 and January 1, 2027; no participating state has been confirmed. Medicaid coverage of weight-loss drugs is decided state by state, so check with your state Medicaid program.[6]
What Should You Do Now?
Use the current savings card. Pay as low as $25/fill if your plan covers Wegovy.
Check the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge ($50 per monthly fill for weight loss, if you qualify) and possible Part D coverage for the CV indication (established cardiovascular disease plus obesity or overweight; formulary, prior authorization and exceptions rules apply).
Consider NovoCare Pharmacy ($199–$349/month; TrumpRx lists the same prices). Oral Wegovy $149–$299/month available now.
COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT THE WEGOVY SAVINGS CARD
Frequently Asked Questions
The official Wegovy coupon is available free at novocare.com/wegovy/savings-card.html. This manufacturer coupon (also called the Wegovy Savings Card) can reduce your cost to as little as $25 per fill if you have commercial insurance. Unlike third-party discount cards (GoodRx, SingleCare), the official Wegovy coupon works with your insurance, not instead of it — providing much larger savings for brand-name medications.
No, the Wegovy coupon doesn't use a promo code. Instead, you'll receive a physical or digital card with BIN/PCN/Group/Member ID numbers to present at the pharmacy. There's no code to enter online — the savings are applied at checkout when your pharmacist processes the card as secondary insurance. Get your card free at novocare.com/wegovy/savings-card.html.
If your commercial insurance covers Wegovy, you can pay as little as $25 per fill. The savings card provides up to $100 off your 1-month copay ($200 for 2-month, $300 for 3-month). If your copay exceeds these limits, you pay the difference. If your insurance doesn't cover Wegovy, NovoCare self-pay is $199/month for the first two fills (0.25 mg and 0.5 mg), through December 31, 2026; then $349/month ($399 for Wegovy HD 7.2 mg).
No. Federal law prohibits using manufacturer copay cards with Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, VA benefits, or any government-funded insurance program. If you have Medicare Part D, the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge (July 1, 2026 – December 31, 2027) covers Wegovy for weight loss for $50 per monthly fill if you meet CMS’s criteria and your prescriber gets prior authorization, and Wegovy may be covered under Part D for cardiovascular risk reduction in adults with established cardiovascular disease and either obesity or overweight, subject to the plan’s formulary, prior authorization and exceptions process (FDA approval: injection March 8, 2024 (Wegovy injection); tablets December 22, 2025 (Wegovy tablets)). Wegovy is not on Novo Nordisk’s Patient Assistance Program list.
The standard Wegovy savings card uses BIN: 019158 and PCN: CNRX. These are the same for all cardholders. Your unique Group number (starting with EC or AC) and 11-digit Member ID are on your personalized savings card from enrollment.
Common issues include: (1) Card not enrolled/activated — complete enrollment at novocare.com first, (2) Pharmacist processing it as primary instead of secondary payer, (3) Prior authorization not yet approved by your insurance, (4) Government insurance detected in the system. Call the Wegovy Savings Offer line at 1-888-793-1218 for real-time help.
The savings card has monthly limits: $100 for a 1-month supply, $200 for 2-month, and $300 for 3-month. If your copay exceeds the monthly cap, you pay the difference. Example: $150 copay - $100 savings = $50 you pay.
Not exactly. Manufacturer copay cards (like the Wegovy Savings Card) work alongside your insurance — they cover your out-of-pocket costs after insurance pays. Generic discount coupons (like GoodRx) are cash-price discounts that replace insurance and typically save less for brand-name drugs. For Wegovy, the savings card provides significantly better savings if you have coverage.
Yes! Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) can be used to pay for Wegovy, including any out-of-pocket costs after the savings card is applied. This lets you use pre-tax dollars, effectively saving an additional 20-35% depending on your tax bracket.
Yes, and it's often the best strategy. The savings card allows up to $300 in savings for a 3-month supply (vs. $100 for 1-month). Many insurers also have lower copays for 90-day prescriptions through mail-order pharmacies. Ask your doctor to write a 90-day prescription if you're stable on your dose.
Compounded semaglutide (the active ingredient in Wegovy) is available from some compounding pharmacies for around $200-$400/month. However, compounded versions are not FDA-approved, may vary in quality, and aren't covered by the official savings card. Most doctors recommend sticking with brand-name Wegovy when possible. NovoCare offers Wegovy at $199–$349/month as a legitimate alternative.
No, the savings card only works as a secondary payer after your insurance. If insurance doesn't cover Wegovy, use NovoCare Pharmacy instead — $199/month for the first two fills (0.25 mg and 0.5 mg), through December 31, 2026; then $349/month ($399 for Wegovy HD 7.2 mg). You can also appeal the coverage denial.
Yes, the Wegovy Savings Card works at most retail pharmacies including CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Rite Aid, and independent pharmacies. Some mail-order pharmacies also accept it. If a pharmacy claims they don't accept it, ask them to run it as a secondary payer using the BIN (019158) / PCN (CNRX) / Group numbers.
Yes! The FDA approved oral Wegovy (semaglutide tablet) on December 22, 2025. NovoCare self-pay pricing is $149–$299/month by dose. This is a great option if you prefer pills over injections. See our oral Wegovy guide for details.
This happens when your insurance copay exceeds the card's monthly savings cap ($100 per 1-month fill). For example, if your copay is $150, the card covers $100, leaving you to pay $50. Solutions: (1) Switch to a 90-day supply for higher savings cap ($300), (2) Check if your insurer has a preferred pharmacy with lower copays, (3) Appeal for a tier exception to move Wegovy to a lower copay tier.
